What can happen with poor windshield wiper blades?

With poor wiper blades it can make it difficult to drive and dangerous for all parties. Before we tried out the Goodyear wiper blades I had a bad pair of generic wiper blades on my Honda Pilot.

The experience I had made it quite scary as I was on a bridge and had no way to stop the car. What happened is the snow from the roof came down on my windshield and I had virtually no power to remove the snow with my wipers.

Because of where I was at I had to roll down my window and proceed with caution till I could get out of the car and wipe off my windshield. We could have gotten killed all because the wiper blades were bad.

We had a similar experience one year while driving home from our cottage. It was pouring rain, but because the blades had gone bad it was difficult to see and could have caused an accident.

Having a great set of wiper blades is a reasonable way to create a safe path to your destination. That is why we highly recommend buying a new pair on a regular basis and the best pair on the market is Goodyear 770-14 Hybrid Wiper Blade.

Have a pair of the Goodyear wiper blades(from Costco) on a 2011 Chevy Equinox LT. Yesterday was driving a high mountain road and passing an 18 wheeler in one of the passing lanes at 55mph when the wipers suddenly whipped to the left and stopped working. I was able to pull off the road safely. I took apart the assembly today and the ball joint was disconnected. I believe the weight of these wipers contributed to the issue. May not have happened to a “lighter” set of wipers. There is a recall on the 2013 model of this vehicle for corrosion, but I see no corrosion here. I’m going to put the assembly back together and replace the Goodyear wiper blades with a lighter version.
